Jérôme Noetinger is a French pioneer of live electronics, filmmaker, composer and improviser who plays electroacoustic instruments, especially Revox reel-to-reel tape recorders, which he masterfully controls as a sound source. He has made dozens of recordings on the Erstwhile, Editions Mego, ROOM40, Potlatch, Mikroton and many other labels. Highly recommended!
Paula Sanchez and Gabriel Valtchev create a sonic mass that moves from bursts of intense energy to visceral and wild use of evolving and subtle interventions. Using cello, percussion, voice and electronics, they distort sounds with sudden changes in rhythms, exploring materials by letting them unfold in unexpected contexts.
The duo PREKOŚLUMB was formed after a joint concert in Metro Manila, Philippines. Since then, Joee Mejias and Krysztof Tokar Tokarczyk have been exploring less explored artistic fields defined by the intersection between sound, music and spontaneous performative processes. They use various strategies combining unusual acoustic (saxophones, Turkish flutes, voices) and electronic instrumentation to evoke mysterious improvised worlds imbued with wild melodies and distinctive rhythms. The end result is a live sound experience characterized by a playful use of sound, noise and energy. Before settling in Switzerland, Tokarczyk recorded several albums with Poland’s The Kurws.
