DRŤ, LEBANON, KMOTŘENKA, NÁRODNÍ DIVADLO | concert
28. 11. 2025, 19h
Rock Hill, Ostrava
KMOTŘENKA is a trio made up of František Hruška, Michal Synovec and Honza Tomšů. Expect noise, western vibes, drums, guitars, and the occasional screamed vocals. The setup will be pretty big: drums, bass, two guitars with a million pedals, plus synths. They’ll bring everything themselves — all they need is electricity and a small table. https://soundcloud.com/…/kmotrenka-po-horach-po-dolach… https://www.instagram.com/kmotrenka_boyband/
NÁRODNÍ DIVADLO — weird rock, avant-garde, free jazz… Is this supposed to be music? Yeah. The Frenštát branch of the National Theatre is about to “cut into a hot loaf of free improvisation” and open the Gates of Unrest. https://stoned-to-death.bandcamp.com/album/p-slib-mapy
DRŤ was founded in 2019 by musician and composer Miroslav Tóth. Musically, the group moves across a wide range of genres — from punk and alternative rock to free jazz. They have released four studio albums, all of which stand out for addressing controversial and traumatic political and social events from recent Slovak history and the present. For the album Puntičkár, the band used transcriptions of interviews with Alojz Lorenc, a former general of the Communist-era secret police (StB). For the album Minister, they worked with the notorious audio recordings of Marián Kočner, featuring conversations with former Slovak finance minister Ján Počiatek and prosecutor Dobroslav Trnka. The band then recorded Kruh alebo špirála? in collaboration with public intellectual Fedor Gál, whose spoken reflections trace the fate and lived experience of both individuals and Slovak society from the end of World War II to the present. In 2023, the group changed its line-up and developed a new concert program along with a new album titled Drôtenky. This project focuses on verbal violence and on women’s positions in contemporary Slovak society, articulated through the texts of poet — and now new DRŤ frontwoman — Zuzana Husarová. https://www.instagram.com/drt.band/ https://drtband.bandcamp.com
LEBANON Decay and confusion. Dusty tubes, crackling circuits, binary code warming up. Meta-level irony throughout. A warning — it’s loud, messy, and proud. Message undelivered. Almost sorry about that. But hey, it’s out of love. An extremely specific entity, an approach like a psycho-biosynthesis of analog debris scavenged from the outer edges of music genres. Anyone who hasn’t heard it yet will end up databending their own mental image anyway. Probably the first or the last. Primetime shit. A bit like getting an MRI while noise from past decades plays in the background, Vltava radio drifts through, and deep-web releases for nerds whisper from the darkness. But don’t get it twisted — nothing experimental. Absolutely not. Definitely not. https://www.instagram.com/lebanontypycoblba/ https://lebanon.bandcamp.com
